Gomis is good and can be dangerous, but Brito is literally the most dangerous guy at this weight class. He can submit you, he can knock you out, he can kick you so hard there is a literal hole in your leg. He is an absolute savage and he wins this fight. Low volume Gomis won't know what to do with the insane pressure coming his way. With that being said, let's hope Brito doesn't blow his wad early, slow down and then Gomis gets some weird homer decision.
William Gomis
William Gomis is a very well rounded guy who can knock you out, submit you or out work you. It's hard to label him as any one thing because he genuinely is good everywhere. He has solid Muay Thai striking and very opportunistic grappling where he will snatch things up in scrambles. The criticism on Gomis is that he can be low volume at times and looks to counter. He has almost 45 minutes of cage time and lands less than 3 significant strikes per minute. He is coming off the finish win over Yanis Ghemmouri
Joanderson Brito
Joanderson Brito is a fast and athletic grappler with solid top pressure and a wide array of submissions. His striking isn't very technical but he will come forward and throw bombs. Big wide punches and heavy kicks with almost no regard for what comes back his way. But even though he is comfortable striking, he will look to get it to the ground and work from there. He averages more than 3 takedowns per fight but he can be taken down if you pressure him. He is coming off his 5th finish in a row, this time from insane leg kicks that split jack shores leg open so bad they literally put a finger in it.
