If Tabatha Ricci's terrible takedowns can work with Yan, then Virna will look like Jordan Burroughs. I think Yan Xiaonan and I think she's one of the best women in the division, but I also think this fight will look like her fight against Carla Esparza. I see Virna non stop grinding this fight to thr ground and even though she's only good at 1 thing, that 1 thing will be enough here. I am pretty confident in Virna and I think her line is great right now at -151.
Virna Jandiroba
Virna Jandiroba is a grinder who is solid on the ground. Her striking is just ok but she hits hard and throws with solid volume. She doesn't have much head movement and the stats tell that story as well with her negative striking differential. There are no secrets to her gameplan, throw big heavy punches and look for a takedown. She is 7-3 in the UFC and quickly becoming a title contender. She is coming off the dominant win over former title challenger Amanda Lemos
Xiaonan Yan
Yan Xiaonan is a very good boxer with well timed strikes. She has very clean technique but does not shy away from a dirty fight and is willing to bang. Outside of her 3 UFC losses, which were to a former champion, a top 5 fighter and the current champion, she has had a solid run in the UFC. We have seen She showcase her power, we have seen the technical striking and we have seen the grappling improvements. She is coming off the straight forward win over Tabatha Ricci.
