UFC Vegas 62 is happening this weekend at the Apex Center in Las Vegas, Nevada. These last few weeks have been tough for fight fans with off weeks sprinkled between events. UFC Vegas 62 however kicks off ten straight weeks of fights, so you don't want to miss it. The event takes place this Saturday, October 15, 2022. The prelims start at 4pm eastern and the main card is set to start at 7pm eastern. Let's get into some DraftKings core plays!
Jacob Malkoun vs Nicholas Maximov
This will be an interesting fight, especially on the ground in the cage. Both fighters are coming off a loss and need a win. Maximov is going to try to push the pace in the cage in his favor. Last fight Maximov had, Maximov's downfall is the mental errors he battles. Malkoun will try to capitalize the mental game of Maximov. This will be a grappling matchup on the ground and I think if Maximov can beat himself, he can win this fight. The price tag on DraftKings of only $8,300 for Maximov with the upside he brings is something I am loving in all formats.
Misha Cirkunov vs Alonzo Menifield
I am liking this fight on paper! Misha is coming off three losses and needs a win badly on his record. Alonzo on the other hand is coming off a win and is the heavy favorite. Alonzo has the massive power advantage and striking has looked good. Alonzo can style on Misha which is why I am loving this fight on paper for Alonzo. You are telling me I can get a discount price on Meniefield on DraftKings under $9,000? Yes, please! I will take the knockout upside all day on him.
Brandon Royval vs Askar Askarov
This fight screams banger and here we go! Askarov is coming off a loss but it was against France who isn't a bad fighter by any means. Askar has looked great and is overall a good fighter. Royval we know who will be in the cage from start to finish pushing the pace. Askar I think has the edge though in the grappling field and striking. Askar will have to remain calm and keep the pace in his favor. I am on Askar here to get the job done. I know I am taking a stand of the DraftKings price tag of $9,200, but this has GPP play written all over it.
Alexa Grasso vs Viviane Araujo
The Main Event! Two fighters are rising up in their class and have looked great. Grasso is the favorite and her fighting game has been super clean. The striking is great for Grasso and likes to stay the pace. Araujo is wild on her striking and that is why I am leaning toward Grasso to handle this fight. Grasso will have to work around the takedown attempts from Araujo, which if she does avoid it, I am loving Grasso at the DraftKings price tag with the finish upside of $9,000 on DraftKings price tag in a 5 round main event fight.
