Shara is hard to break down because clearly he is a very good striker, but he is also not what they told he was. So on one hand we are disappointed in him because he hasn't delivered the insane knockouts we were promised. On the other hand he is undefeated and continues to out strike everyone he fights. I came to this fight wanting to pick Armen and fade Shara. But the more I put my biases aside and just looked at the skills, Shara seems to be the better striker, certainly the better counter striker. We are all just dealing with the let down that have been his decision fights. The pick and the bet here will be different. I am going to pick Shara, because i think Armen's forward pressure will work against him, but. I think a sneaky good bet here will be +3.5 on Armen because I think he can win a round, especially if he sneaks in a takedown like he did against CLD.

Shara Magomedov

Shara Magomedov is a one eyed gap tooth with a homeless beard and very good striking. He popped onto the scene last year and was touted as a wild and insanely dangerous striker. Sure, he has 14 fights with 11 knockouts, but knockout shave not come easy at the UFC level with 2 of 3 wins being decisions. He is insanly powerful, very fast and will mix up his striking techniques. His takedown defense is just ok and his offensive takedowns are non existent. He is coming off yes another decision and a let down of a fight.

Armen Petrosyan

Armen Petrosyan is a fun striker with a professional kickboxing background. He can be a bit of a brawler at times and does rely on his chin. He lands at an impressive almost 6 significant strikes per minute and is hit with fewer than 3. He doesn't have the best takedown defense, but he has incredible scramble and get up skills. He is coming off the submission loss to Rodolfo Vierea where he was taken down 3 times.
