In theory, Sergei is an easy pick. He might be the fastest and hardest hitting heavyweight in the division. But in reality, he is a one dimensional boxer who just got put out. If Sergei doesn't land early, he will have a very tough fight and I honestly don't think he will land early. Volkov is absolutely huge at 6'7 which means it will be hard to reach his chin. His only KO loss in the UFC was to Derrick Lewis and that was 6 years ago. Volkov is the much better fighter overall and if he can avoid getting caught, he wins this fight. I think Volkov wins and I will end up betting on him. He is +165 right now but I imagine that widens as we get closer.
Sergei Pavlovich
Sergei Pavlovich is a beast of a striker. He's mostly a boxer but he has great power in his hands and incredible speed for a heavyweight. His striking volume is impressive and he trusts his chin enough to stand in the pocket and bomb away. Trusting his chin can be a problem in some matchups, as it wa sin his last one, but his speed will keep him one step ahead against most others at heavyweight. He has zero takedowns in the UFC and has only been taken down one single time so far. He is coming off the first round KO loss to a short notice Tom Aspinall
Alexander Volkov
Alexander Volkov is a top 10 heavyweight and has been for the better part of 7 years. He is a very good striker and a high IQ fighter who is fast and has volume. He picks his shots well and will adapt in a fight. He is not a big power guy but his volume and timing suit him well enough to get finishes. He is a very durable guy who has fought the literal best in the division since his UFC debut in 2016. He is coming off 3 finishes in a row, the most recent being a submission win over tai Tuivasa
