This should be another fun fight. Two guys with solid striking who don't typically shoot takedowns. I expect a good old fashion slug fight here and when you get a slug fight, it's hard to expect a clean outcome. I think Daniel wins here and i think it ends up being a close decision that he takes because of forward pressure and the fact that Ponzinnibio can wear damage. Daniel is the pick and if we somehow get a 1.5 round line, the over will feed families for generations.
Santiago Ponzinibbio
Santiago Ponzinibbio is a good striker who likes to stay out of the pocket. His striking is clean and he does a great job managing range really well. He has a handful of big KOs, but typically doesn't have a ton of raw power and uses volume and pressure. He doesn't have much in the way of grappling offense but does have a solid 71% takedown defense. He is coming off the massive KO win over Carlston Harris at UFC Vegas 101
Daniel Rodriguez
Daniel Rodriguez is a very good boxer who picks his shots well. He has good takedown defense but not much to offer in the grappling department. His boxing is crisp and when he isn't worried about the takedowns his hands are deadly and he hits a rhythm, when he is worried about the takedowns he can fade later in the fight. He is coming off the decision win over Alex Morono where it took him a round to figure out the striking, but once he did, he took over.
