This is a battle of the grapplers, but it may not play out that way. Rodolfo may not be a good enough wrestler to take down Petroski and Petroski may be nervous to take down Vieira given his grappling prowess which is nerve-racking. Andre's striking objectively sucks. Every punch he threw at Dylan Budka in his last fight had me biting my nails and was insanely nerve wracking. Vieira hits hard and has the better chin of the two. With that being said we did just see Andre use good old fashioned American wrestling in his last 2 fights and if he sticks to that, I think he wins here. My literal only concern is that Andre may convince himself to strike with Vieira and I think thats bad news. His path is to wrestle and stay safe. I'm going to pick Andre but I am going to hate that pick while watching the fight.
Rodolfo Vieira
Rodolfo Viera is a freak athlete with incredible BJJ. He is a world level BJJ competitor with more than one international title. He is incredibly explosive with his takedowns attempts, but technique can get the best of him. While his gameplan is always to get it to the ground, he can have some success on his feet with clean striking. He is coming off the submission win over Arman Petrosyan where he needed 3 takedowns.
Andre Petroski
Andre Petroski is a very good wrestler with great takedowns. His standup is just ok but it is loaded with power shots that are there for the wrestling. When he does shoot takedowns they are fast and clean. He has solid BJJ as well that he uses to control positions and snatch up submissions. He is coming off the wrestle heavy win over Dylan Budka where he had 3 takedowns and 10 minutes of control.
