Carlos will be strong early and certainly dangerous on the feet, but his takedown defense is lacking and that will be a problem for him. Rinat's cardio is always a concern, but Leal on short notice only helps us there. Rinat is the pick and while as of this minute he is not parlay-able, bis straight odds are fantastic at -235
Rinat Fakhretdinov
Rinat Fakhretdinov is a wrestler who throws bombs and is willing to strike. He is constantly pressuring forward, throwing big one twos and then bending over to grab legs and work a takedown. When he gets on top, he pounds away and is looking for a TKO more than a submission. Even though he has plenty of power in his hands and high level wrestling, he is not a finisher and does fade as fights go on. He is coming off the close decision win over Nicholas Dalby where he dropped him and gassed.
Carlos Leal
Carlos Leal is making his UFC debut, but he is a veteran of the sport and has fought all over the world in some of the largest promotions. Style wise he is a dangerous Muay Thai striker who is not afraid to engage. His forward pressure and open hand stance leave him open to leh kicks, but he is durable enough to hang. He has grappling as well, but it is squarely a backup plan. His takedown defense is just ok, but it is mostly strength related.
