I came into this breakdown expecting to fade Ricky. I have been watching this sport long enough to know its very hard for some of these guys to rebound after a handful of losses at the top. Ricky Simon was very good, on a 5 fight win streak and likely a win away from a potential title shot. Now he is on a 2 fight skid and while they are losses to quality opponents, it is always harder to get your career back on track than it is to move it forward to begin with. but then I rewatched Vinicius' last fight. The takedowns were too easy and Ricky is too good of a wrestler. Ricky should win this fight with old school crotch sniffing.

Ricky Simon

Ricky Simon is a high energy wrestling beast. The guy will dive on leg after leg with 100% energy over and over until he gets a takedown and potentially a submission. His biggest assett is his gas tank and willingness to stick to a plan. He is not a technical striker but it is there to setup his takedowns. We've seen flashes of power from him in the past with a handful of knockdowns, but he typically isn't striking long enough for it to matter. He is coming off the decision loss to Mario Bautista where he fought well, but Mario fought great.

Vinicius Oliveira

Vinicius Oliveira is a fun guy who charges forward and throws everything at the wall looking for a finish. He is sloppy but dangerous. He's not just chaos on the feet through, he is also chaos on the ground. He will get to the ground and then donkey kong style rain down punches and hammer fists. He's winning fights with aggression, power and creativity. He is coming off the win over Bernardo Sopai where he was taken down 3 times but found the finish in the 3rd.
