Obviously Ramiz can win by submission here, but this sport has progressed beyond submission or bust guys that don't have dominant wrestling. Ramiz will be dangerous if he can get it to the ground, but that is a huge if. Themba will be the pick and I may parlay him with Peira Rodriguez in an anti 2 year layoff parlay.
RAMIZ BRAHIMAJ
Ramiz Brahimaj is a fantastic grappler but doesn't use it as much as he should. He has been away for 2 years but you may remember Ramiz for when his ear fell off in his fight against max griffin. Even though he is an accomplished grappler, he does tend to grapple off his back and grappling off your back is very different than on top. When he strikes he has good power in his hands and does have some success, but not enough to win there. All 10 of his wins are by submission and at this point he is a submission or bust fighter. He is coming back after a 2 year layoff and a win over Michael Gilmore where he had a beautiful takedown and submission.
THEMBA GORIMBO
Themba Gorimbo is a distance striker who manages range well and picks his shots. He is long for the weight class and uses that length to keep you at bay. He is typically a counter striker but he will charge forward when he sees his openings. He has solid takedown defense where he widens his base and makes his opponents carry his weight. He also has solid offensive takedowns with 5 takedowns in 3 UFC fights. He is coming off the one punch KO win over Pete Rodriguez.
