We have a bit of a switcharoo here. This is a brand new matchup, but neither guy is short notice. Goff's original opponent had Visa issues and because he is so excited they shuffled things around to keep him on the card. This isn't officially announced yet, but it looks as though They will kick Oban Elliott to the curb and move Ramiz into this spot.
I picked Goff before and will pick him again here. He is an absolute dog and as long as he doesn't play around on the ground recklessly, he should win. He is the scrappier striker, and should be able to get the hands going. Even though he is listed at 100%, we haven't seen much in the way of takedown defense from Goff. I would like to assume he can keep this standing, so again, that is why he is the pick, but this feels like a harder matchup than his original opponent. Ramiz isn't great, but he is dangerous on the ground. I'm riding with Connecticut here and will keep an eye on the line to see if any bets are worth it.
Ramiz Brahimaj
Ramiz Brahimaj is an accomplished grappler but doesn't use it as much as he should. Even though he is an accomplished grappler, he does tend to grapple off his back and grappling off your back is very different than on top. When he strikes he has good power in his hands and does have some success, but not enough to win there. All 11 of his wins are by finish with 10 of them being by submission. He is definitely a finish or bust fighter and in his last outing, got the finish with some early power.
Billy Ray Goff
Billy Goff is a well rounded guy with clean boxing and a solid clinch. He also has very good wrestling and grappling that he uses if he gets into trouble or catches a kick. When he does get a takedown he has incredible top control and pressure. He has solid cardio, will push a pace, and is an absolute dog. He is coming what felt like a bad a decision to Trey Waters which was an absolute fight of the night war.
