Oban is the favorite here and on the surface it makes sense because he has plenty of cardio and is well rounded. But he also isn't dangerous and can be taken down. If Bassil has better than usual cardio here he can outwork Oban. I like Bassil's pressure and takedowns and am picking him as a dog here. I'm going to keep and eye on the line movement tracker and if it is widening i will wait to place a bet.
Oban Elliott
Oban Elliott is a well rounded guy with 15 full minutes of cardio and plenty of tools in the bag. When striking he likes to dance around the outside and then fire off overhands to come in. He is fast and athletic with flashy spins and ok takedown defense. If he is taken down he works to his feet well and doesn't chase submissions that aren't there. He is coming off a decision win over Preston Parsons where they exchanged takedowns but Oban had the cleaner striking.
Bassil Hafez
Bassil Hafez is a heavy handed grappler. His striking is loose and very powerful and even though you will see the check hook KO highlight, he is not a striker, he is a very tough grappler who will shoot blast doubles and look to maintain position while blasting elbows. He is a high paced guy both on the feet and on the ground but his cardio can fade a bit later in fights. He is coming off the busy win over Mickey Gall where he had 3 takedowns.
