Prates is on an incredible 9 fight KO win streak and this fight will make it 10. Sure, Neil has miles more experience and if he can wrestle without being hit, he will win, but I just can't see him wrestling without being hit. Prates is too accurate and has too good of footwork. Neil will need to slow the pace and eliminate all range, but that is a very hard thing to do. Carlos is the pick, but another fight where the odds are long gone.
Neil Magny
Neil Magny is an incredibly well rounded guy and seems to be the UFC's go to when it comes to getting other vets competitive fights or testing prospects. In this case, testing a prospect. He's very tough and very experienced. He is skilled everywhere but mostly a busy come forward striker. He does have very solid grappling as well with an average of more than 2 takedowns per fight. He is 22-11 in the UFC and fought a who's who of the division. He is coming off the KO loss to Michael Morales where he came out wrestling heavy before being cracked.
Carlos Prates
Carlos Prates is a dangerous striker with big power and range control. He is pretty light on his feet and manages to throw kicks to any body part whenver he wants. He will launch head kicks on the drop of a dime, he will throw spinning kicks and he will defend most takedowns that come his way. His power and accuracy are absolutely insane. He is coming off the KO win over Jingliang where everyone said he could not be knocked out.
