If you believe that Mokaev had staph in his last fight and thats why he gassed and didn't look great, then you should feel comfortable with Mokaev bet. But if you don't and if you think that was just an excuse because his performance in general wasn't great, then Kape is looking solid right now. Kape has solid takedown defense and very good striking. If Mokaev starts to fade or miss some takedowns late, Kape can absolutely take over. I'm going to pick Mokaev though. While i think Kape is a very good fighter and the much better striker here, I do think he will be hesitant and worried about the takedowns which will give Mokaev the openings he needs. The pick will be Mokaev, but not sure I can bet him here. I will watch the line and see what we can get on the props.

Muhammad Mokaev

Muhammad Makoev is an incredible wrestler who has been competing his whole life. He has 7 fights in the UFC with 28 takedowns. His striking is not great and neither is his control, but his wrestling is non-stop and so is his pace. He is coming off the decision win over Alex Perez where he went 3 for 20 in takedowns and his striking looked pretty dumb.

Manel Kape

Manel Kape is a fast and explosive striker who has no issues chasing knockouts. He is a southpaw with good pressure and bounces in and out of range really well. He is a decent wrestler when he needs to be and he closes distance well when he wants to. He's very fun to watch but at times he is having too much fun and makes fight iq mistakes. He is coming off the fight of the night win over Felipe dos Santos.
