Breaking down a Cutelba fight is always tricky. He's good and he sucks at the exact same time. He has power, but is also hittable. He has offensive takedowns but no takedown defense. To me this will actually come down to is Bukauskas decided to wrestle. He isn't exactly a Nurmagomedov, but he has dipped into that pond when he's needed to, like his win over Prachnio. I am going to pick Modestas here because I think he is the more technically sound and well rounded of the two, but the bet is likely ITD Dec. no action on Cutelaba because he is so insanely dangerous.
Modestas Bukauskas
Modestas Bukauskas is a very versatile striker who is dangerous on his feet. He can be a bit low volume which is why he has a negative striking differential, but he has all the tools to be successful UFC. He has a 71% takedown defense and is typically a striker only. He is coming off the KO win over Raffael Cequira where he moved forward and landed clean.
Ion Cutelaba
Ion Cutelaba is a grappler who happens to have very good power in his hands and is happy to fight in a phone booth despite his questionable chin. He is a feast or famine fighter so he will chase a stoppage and will potentially get stopped doing it. He is good on the ground and racks up tons of takedowns but they can be sloppy body locks that are more muscle than technique. He is coming off the submission win over Ibo Aslan.
