Miles Johns was supposed to fight Cody Garbrandt back in November but Cody was injured so that fight was scrapped.
We don't have odds yet for this fight, but if you check the public picks, the internet has picked Felipe at 89% which is a bit surprising. I understand he is young, has dog in him and has an incredible record, but i feel like people are dismissing Miles Johns. He is a strong wrester who has some power. We saw Felipe slow down in his last fight and I think that can be chalked up to the short notice but until I see him compete against a UFC vet like Miles Johns, it will be hard to confidently pick him. Felipe is definitely the more talented of the two, but if Miles decided to actually wrestle I think he can win. The problem is, you can't trust him to wrestle. So the pick will be Miles but zero money at stake here.
Miles Johns
Miles Johns is a good strong wrestler with heavy hands and explosive speed. He seems to have a love/hate relationship with his wrestling because at one point it was the core of everything he did butt then he found power in his hands and abondoned it to sit on overhand rights, but he seems to be heading back in the right direction. He is coming off his 4th win in a row, this time a strikng win over Douglas Silva de Andrade.
Felipe Lima
Felipe is a Bantamweight prospect that seems to be sticking around at Featherweight. He is a well rounded guy who has creative striking and solid grappling. He will shrow spinning jump kicks then shoot doubles that he will pick up over his head before slamming. He does a nice job trasitioning between striking and grappling to keep his opponents on their toes. He doesn't have much power but he sets and incredible pace and can break people. He is coming off a short notice UFC debut where where he was 1-1 going into the 3rd round before he got a takedown and submission.
