The beginning of my Tybura intro used to start with “Marcin Tybura is a DURABLE grinder…”, but i removed durable. Sure, he survived being dropped early in his last fight, but at 39 with wobbled knees in 2 of his last 4, I have to assume the chin is gone. The question becomes does that even matter? Will Marcin be standing long enough to care about his chin? Does Mick even have the one punch power to get it done? I don't know honestly. My gut reaction here was that Mick should be the pick. Tybura isn't very good if he can't get takedowns and its very possible that Mick touches him 2 or 3-1 on strikes. I'm going to go with the gut, the rock solid, washboard ab supporting guy and pick Mick here. But that does go against my inherit bias for wrestlers.
Marcin Tybura
Marcin Tybura is a grinder who never quits and is busy everywhere. His striking is just ok and he is more of a “punches in bunches” kind of guy. The strikes are really there to setup his takedowns. If he gets a takedown he will pound on you till you quit and doesn't need to look for submissions. Tybura averages a little more than one takedown per fight but has a low 33% accuracy. Instead of clean doubles and shots he relies on body locks and trips to get it to the ground. He is coming off the second round TKO win over Jhonata Diniz where he was dropped instantly, but managed to survive.
Mick Parkin
Mick Parkin is a good sized heavyweight who does a great job slowing the pace to where he wants it. He will come forward, throw one twos and then get a hold of you so he can take away any of your sting, slow you down and potentially get a takedown. He has solid BJJ and will shoot his shot on submissions, but also uses it well to keep control on top. He is not particularly fast, but he does a very good job keeping up his striking volume and staying safe. He is coming off the KO win over Lukaz Breski
