I always mention that we make our picks and break down fights before we see the odds. Thats exactly what I did here as well. Broke down the fight, decided that Luana should win because of her striking style and wrestling and then went to check the odds. To my surprise she was a plus money underdog. I was almost positive that she was going to be -150 so to see her at +102, I jumped on it at half a unit.

Luana Carolina is a striker with solid takedown defense. She isnt the most technical woman in the division but she is fantastic in the clinch with knees and elbows. She has an akward striking style that can be hard to read and she pairs that with solid takedown defense at 76%. She is coming off the TKO win over Julija Stolorianko where even though things went her way, she did make some questionable decisions like shooting takedowns despite winning striking exchanges.

Lucie Pudilova

Lucie Pudilova is a powerful striker who likes to circle while throwing heavy 1-2s. She doesn't have incredible volume but she stays busy and throws with intent. Recently she has started to work takedowns into her aresnal with 4 in her last 3 fights. She is 3-7 in the UFC and coming odd a decision loss to Ailin Perez.
