The number one question here isn't can Sean Brady get the takedowns, the question is does Leon plan on fighting or staring. Leon is the better fighter here and its not debatable. The problem is, he doesn't always fight. Sometimes he just stands there, doing absolutely nothing. If he's frozen by the idea of Sean shooting, then his feet will be stuck in the mud and he's done. But if he comes out here, moves forward and lets his hands go, he is absolutely going to smoke Sean Brady. Before you comment “bro, Belal out struck Brady” well Belal is the world champ right now and is pretty damn good, hating on him like its Nickleback in 2010 is stupid. This is a great main event and I want to pick Leon. i want to pick the more talented guy, I've seen him get homer decisions in the past, but Sean's willingness to wrestle and not wait, is likely the difference here. Sean is the pick, but i'm not betting on this fight. Leon is too good to count out.
Leon Edwards
Leon Edwards is a very well rounded fighter. He is primarily a striker with nice body kicks, nice boxing and now nice wrestling. He averages more than 1 takedown per fight and was able to take down Nate Diaz, Kamaru Usman and now Colby Covington. He's good everywhere and has great cardio with solid fight IQ. He is coming off the title defense over Colby Covington where he defended 8 of Colby's takedowns and defended 2 of his own.
Sean Brady
Sean Brady is a high level grappler with some power in his hands. He plots forward and throws bombs, and even work in a spinning backfist before shooting takedowns. He can be dangerous on his feet and is definitely dangerous on the ground. He tends to have cardio issues, but has learned how to rest on top. He averages more than 3 takedowns per fight and is coming off the very one sided win over Kelvin Gastelum where he had 5 takedowns and the eventual submission.
