How long can Steve Garcia win for? Can he extend his streak to 5 in a row, all by KO? If so, are we talking about him as a contender? 5 wins in a row at featherweight is more than anyone in the top 5 (excluding the champion of course because they aren't ranked with a number). With all of that being said, I think this is a tougher fight than people think. Kyle showed power in his last fight and Steve tends to run forward almost inviting punches. I am going to pick Steve here because outside of walking into an overhand, he should be the better fighter.
Kyle Nelson
Kyle Nelson is a solid striker with very real power in his hands. He's been in the UFC since 2018 and just got his third win to bring his overall UFC record to 3-4-1. He has solid takedown defense and does a really good job using his opponents shots to create a scramble and end up on top. He does a great job making fights ugly and winning with toughness. He is coming off the upset KO win over Bill Algeo where he pressured forward and came out swinging, cracked him hard, but some do feel the stoppage was early.
Steve Garcia
Despite having very solid grappling, Steve Garcia has made a name for himself with his boxing. He likes to come forward with big strikes that either put you away, or setup takedowns. His striking is very solid, he has nice movement, big power and decent speed. He isn't afraid to mix it up but he can get himself into trouble by being too agressive. He is very tough and always working forward. He is riding a 4 fight win streak all 4 of which are KO wins.
