Jose Aldo vs. Aiemann Zahabi

ALDO VS ZAHABI

UFC 314 was a card where it felt very dog heavy. We had a lot of close matchups and several different narratives. But come fight night it was all chalk. UFC 315 feels similar, I could make a case for 8 different underdogs on this card, including Aiemann Zahabi. But if I zoom out and avoid the itch to play devils advocate, it's pretty clear that Jose is the actual better fighter. Even at his age he is fast, clean, dangerous, durable and literally impossible to take down. Myself and others would argue he won his last fight. So Jose is the pick but if you don't like the odds, there are plenty of favorable props here.

Jose Aldo

Jose Aldo is the greatest 145lb fighter of all time and he reminded of us of that fact when he came out of retirement earlier this year to beat Jonathan Martinez. Style wise he is great counter striker with very technical Muay Thai, great BJJ and very good wrestling. His leg kicks and counter striking are a nightmare for almost everyone and he might have the best takedown defense of all time. He is definitely old at a listed 38, when in reality he is over 40. His is coming off the questionable loss over Mario Bautista

Aiemann Zahabi

Aiemann Zahabi is Fares Zahabi's brother. If you don't know who Faras is, he is the famous coach who worked George St Piere and most recently revitalized Rob Font's career. This means Aiemann has been around top level talent and high level coaching the entirety of his career. Style wise is he is pretty well rounded but more of a striker. He can be low volume at times but we do know he has big power. He has solid takedown defense at 79% and high fight IQ. He is coming off the decision win over Pedro Munhoz
