At one point in time Pat Sabatini was a great prospect. Still is, but he hasn't improved. He has the same stiff striking and holes that he had a few years ago. He's also still has the insanely dangerous grappling and in this matchup will likely get exactly that. Someone willing to grapple with him. I do think though that Jonathan Pearce can sneak this one out. i think the wrestling pressure will be frustrating and even though Pat is dangerous on the ground, Jonathan should be well prepared. i like Pearce here and threw a half of a unit on him at -131.
Jonathan Pearce
Jonathan Pearce is a solid wrestler who sets a nice pace both on his feet and the ground. He has decent takedowns and good BJJ. He averages more than 5 takedowns per fight with an accuracy of 50%. As soon he gets his takedowns he looks to strike and is typically looking for a TKO instead of a submission. In 20 fights he's only been to a decision four times. He leave's it all out there and its obvious when you see his pace. He's very fun to watch and has a take one to give one type striking stye. He is coming off the decision loss to David Onama where he had 5 takedowns, but missed 9 of them.
Pat Sabatini
Pat Sabatini is a dangerous grappler with very good wrestling and solid pressure when on top. His grappling is incredible and he is always live for a submission. He has technical striking but he is stiff, hittable and chinny. He is averaging almost 4 takedowns per fight and 2 sig. strikes per minute. He is coming off the finish loss to Diego Lopes
