This fight has trap written all over it. Joanderson has tons of power with plenty of knockouts and Pat's 2 UFC losses have been by knockout. I get on the surface that looks great, but what's missing from that is the fact that Brito's BJJ off his back kinda sucks and Pat is phenomenal on top. I think the safest bet here is fight does not go the distance. Brito could 100% knockout Sabatini and Sabatini can absolutely submit Brito. I don't see a decision here. I am going to pick Brito because we saw some cardio improvements in that last fight, but I am going to need him to land clean before Pat shoots a takedown. Keep Brito out of your parlays.
Joanderson Brito
Joanderson Brito is a fast and athletic grappler with solid top pressure and a wide array of submissions. His striking isn't very technical but he will come forward and throw bombs. Big wide punches and heavy kicks with almost no regard for what comes back his way. But even though he is comfortable striking, he will look to get it to the ground and work from there. He averages more than 3 takedowns per fight but he can be taken down if you pressure him. He is coming off the close loss to William Gomis where he he was chasing the KO and had the bigger moments.
Pat Sabatini
Pat Sabatini is a dangerous grappler with very good wrestling and solid pressure when on top. His grappling is incredible and he is always live for a submission. He has technical striking but he is stiff, hittable and chinny. He is averaging almost 4 takedowns per fight and 2 sig. strikes per minute and what that data tells you is that he is always looking to grapple and rarely looking to strike. He is coming off the quick submission win over Jonathan Pearce.
