Jiri Prochazka vs. Jamahal Hill

PROCHAZKA VS HILL

Listen, Jamahal Hill is brutal. He is delusional, cringy and wildly unpopular. He went from a fan favorite UFC champion to a flailing meme who cannot let his last loss go. He is a good fighter though. His striking is accurate, his takedown defense is very good and outside the Alex fight, he seemingly has a solid chin. When I broke this down a few weeks ago, I picked Jamahal, the logic was that Jiri is just way too hittable and should be 0-4 in his last 4 fights. He beat Glover with 30 seconds to go in a fight he was losing, he then lost to Alex, he then somehow beat Rakic after getting smoked and then he lost to Alex again. But I have changed my pick, I am actually going with Jiri here. Jamahal has always been soft, now he's talking about being 240lbs and any training footage seems to be with a rag tag group of basement gamers. As hittable as he is, at least Jiri trains his ass off and somehow finds ways to win. Jiri is the dog now and is also the pick.

Jiri Prochazka

Jiri Prochazka is the former Light Heavyweight champion of the world and is an actual crazy person. He is incredibly fun to watch fight and always brings the fight. He is a dangerous striker with pretty much all of his 29 wins coming by stoppage. He has plenty of cardio, plenty of power, and outside of his fights with Alex, plenty of chin. The knock on Jiri is how hittable he is. He is hit with more than 5 significant strikes per minute which is an insanely high number. He trusts his chin so he has no issues standing in the pocket and taking one to give one. That strategy however failed him at UFC 303 where Alex Pereira knocked him out with a head kick.

Jamahal Hill

Jamahal Hill is the former light heavyweight champion of the world who had to relinquish his title when he blew out his achilles playing basketball. He is a tall rangy striker who comes forward and picks his shots really well. He has an incredible 7-3 striking differential meaning he has high volume and he doubles his opponents strikes. He is primarily a boxer but he does have solid leg kicks. He has solid power, volume and accuracy to make him a real threat on his feet. He has a 73% takedown defense which he may not need in this fight. He is coming off the iconic KO loss to Alex Pereira at UFC 300
