I'm a huge Almeida guy and think he dominates here. I picked him against Curtis and for 5 minutes it looked like the easiest pick in the world. It will be more of the same here. He will come forward, get whatever takedowns he wants and beat on Romanov. We have seen Romanov quit before and we will see it again. He is not used to being the guy on his back and he will panic when he is. Almeida is the pick and I am very confident in him here.

Jailton Almeida

Jailton Almeida is an absolute savage and hasn't looked human yet in the UFC. He has powerful hands and incredible grappling. All but one of his wins are by stoppage and thats because of his nonstop pressure. He will come in hot, and relentlessly work for takedowns. Once he is on the ground he will chase submissions and hit you in the transitions. He has only ever been to one decision in the UFC and even that was a dominant showcase. He is coming off the TKO loss to Curtis Blaydes where he absolutely dominated with 9 takedowns in a little over one round but did seem to freeze up and just have side of his head bashed in while holding onto a single.

Alexandr Romanov

2022 Alexandr Romanov and 2024 Alexandr Romanov are not the same person. The 2022 Romanov is a fantastic high caliber wrestler. He was a massive human being with incredible speed and power that he uses to take you down and pound on you. He comes charging forward with crazy power and is so athletic and fast for his size that its hard to stop the moving train. For years Alexandr was him, he was a terrifying heavyweight prospect. Then he lost a close to decision to Marcin Tybura because he gassed and then he put on a bunch of weight, a bunch of sloppy, burger king weight and he lost to Alexander Volkov where he literally landed 0 punches and missed 5 takedowns he has since bounced back with a straight forward win over Blagov Ivanov but even in that fight he didn't look great.
