I want to be all over Norma Dumont here. She is big, knows how to slow a pace and can grapple. If she 30-27'd Germane in her last fight then I would be all in. But she didn't, she was clearly not the better striker (which was expected) but she took too long to start trying to grapple. She was getting touched up a bit before she changed gears and went to the obvious path to victory. i am going to still pick Norma as an underdog here, but likely betting the over 2.5 instead of moneyline.
Irene Aldana
Irene Aldana is a very technical boxer with legit power. She sets a solid pace and is able to keep the fight standing with her 76% takedown defense. Her only losses in the last 4 years are to former champions Holly Holm and Amanda Nunes who both went all in on the wrestling and avoided striking with her. Irene is big, strong, dangerous and durable. She is coming off the fight of the night win over Karol Rosa where she landed 145 significant strikes in 3 rounds.
Norma Dumont
Norma Dumont is a solid striker who is relaxed and patient in the cage. Her striking is technical and her takedown defense is sound. If you look at her strike differential she lands more than 3 signifigant strikes per minute and takes fewer than 2 in return. On top of her technical striking Norma also has solid grappling, her takedowns aren't great but she does have 17 takedowns in 9 UFC fights. She is coming off the one sided win over Germane de Randemie where she was all in on the wrestling.
