Ikram Aliskerov vs. Andre Muniz

ALISKEROV VS MUNIZ

This fight was supposed to happen at UFC Saudi Arabia originally but was cancelled because Muniz had Visa issues.

Last time this was booked Ikram was a 3-1 favorite, but that quickly moved to 6-1 and now we are at 7-1. Sure, he was KOd in under 2 minutes his last time out, but before you scream fraud, let me remind you that he took that fight on a few days notice on the other side of the world and against one of the best middleweights on the planet. Also…. Muniz sucks. He is a BJJ nerd who will struggle on his feet or off his back. Ikram should be able to dominate the striking here and even get takedowns if he wants them – same way Paul Craig and Brendan Allen beat him.

Ikram Aliskerov

Ikram Aliskerov is a Russian wrestler who's hands have looked so good he hasn't needed to wrestle in the UFC. When he is wrestling he has nonstop pressure with constant body locks, tie ups and shots. When he gets you to the ground he is like an 8th layer of skin and is impossible to shake. His striking is quickly improving with a high guard, solid combinations and great power. He is coming off the first round KO loss to Robert Whittaker where he went from the Apex to Saudi Arabia on 1 week's notice

Andre Muniz

Andre Muniz is a BJJ killer with decent striking and ok wrestling. He hits pretty hard and has some clean striking entries. He won't shy away from a striking match either and does't get desperate with his takedowns. He will take real wrestling shots and even though he avoids the BJJ nerd butt scoot, i think we can call him a BJJ nerd. He is coming of a bounceback win over the Iron Turtle where he had 11 takedowns but still managed to get his strikes doubled.
