At one point in time i would sit here and claim that Guram, Damir and others from that group of UFC newcomers were the future of the division. But things didn't flesh out that way. I think Kaue can win here. Guram's chin isn't what it used to be and Kaue has no problems moving trying to find it. We did see some offensive wrestling from Guram so that gameplan wouldn't surprise, but I am going against the grain and picking Kaue as a dog. WITD Dec. no action and +3.5 are both considerations as well depending on odds.
Guram Kutateladze
Guram Kutateladze Is a solid striker with incredible kicks, pressure and submission threats. While he does get taken down he is so active on the ground that his opponents don't have a chance to settle in or rack up any meaningful control time. On his feet has legit power, speed and professional kickboxing experience. At one point in time was an incredible prospect, but he is definitely on the decline. He is coming off the short notice win over Jordan Vucenic where he was dropped early, but took over rounds 2 and 3.
Kaue Fernandes
Kaue Fernades is a loose and powerful striker who will bounce on his toes, stay outside the pocket and then lunge in with speed and power. Like many fighters at Novau Unaia he has slick BJJ and solid takedown defense as well. He does get flashy with his striking when he's comfortable and when he's focused, he can be technical as well. He is coming off the finish win over Mohommad Yahya where he got the leg kicks going early.
