Gerald Meerschaert vs. Reinier de Ridder
MEERSCHAERT VS. RIDDER

Reineir is basically the next evolution of Gerald. He has the same dangerous BJJ but much better takedowns. Neither one have spectacular striking, but Reinier uses his length well enough to hang. Reinier should win here and is the pick, but Gerald is the comeback king for a reason. He takes his beating and somehow pulls it off. I am looking forward to this fight and am hoping for some high level scrambles.

Gerald Meerschaert

Gerald Meershaert is a very good grappler who is always live for a submission. He is not great on his feet and people question his chin but he is tough and he won't quit on himself. He is an incredibly talented grappler but like so many others, he doesn't have very good offensive wrestling and even though he averages a little over 2 takedowns per fight, he has a very low 36% takedown accuracy. He is coming off the most typical Meerschart fight ever where he got his ass kicked but somehow survived, got a takedown and a submission win.

Reinier de Ridder

Reinier de Ridder is a former two division champion in One FC. He is a solid grappler with good takedowns and great submissions. He is a very tall guy for the division and uses that length well on the ground. He will strike as well, but isn't very clean. He definitely thrives on the ground and seems a bit out of sorts on the feet. In fact, thats how he lost both of his One FC belts, he couldn't get the takedowns and just could not hang on the feet with a much more powerful striker.
