We are about to find out how good Lerone Murphy is or is not. Edson will by far be his toughest and most well rounded opponent. Edson just beat another young striking prospect in a main event and this might be more of the same. The way he worked in wrestling against Sodiq is exactly how he can win this fight too. Being 38 worries me, as does his chin but I am going to lean Barboza here. Veteran savvy in a main event, let's just hope he doesn't look his age in there.

EDSON BARBOZA

Edson Barbosa is a great striker with amazing movement. He has fought every single person in this division and is a walking highlight reel of KOs and submissions. He is unbelievably fast and insanely technical. Barboza doesn't initiate many takedowns, but he is very good on the ground and has sneaky submissions. The comparison I've made in the past is Charles Oliveira, while he isn't as accomplished or even as good, he is very similar in his technique and experience. He is coming off of the decision win over Sodiq Yusuff where they traded knockdowns and he worked in 3 takedowns.

LERONE MURPHY

Lerone Murpy is a very good striker who moves incredibly well and has a ton of power. He will light up your body then step completely out of the pocket and move away. His footwork is very good and he is dangerous on his feet. His takedown defense is listed as a low 37%, but he does really well scrambling back up. He was taken down 10 times in his last 3 fights but flipped the script and got 3 of his own in his most recent wi over Josh Culibao.
