Edgar Chairez vs. Joshua Van
CHAIREZ VS BORJAS

Edgar is not that good and I feel like you're getting a discount here. Yes, Josh Van was just knocked out by Charles Johnson who doesn't typically have that KO power, so thats not a great look, but skill for skill, Van is the better fighter here. Clean striking, decent power, good enough grappling. Edgar does't have the movement that Charles does and is more of a stationary target. Because of that, I think this is a bounce back spot for Van and I think he gets it done. Obviously short notice can be a factor here so if you are nervous, wait for the weigh-ins before placing any bets.

Edgar Chairez

Edgar Chairez is a decently well rounded fighter. His striking offense is fast and in your face, his takedowns are decent and his BJJ is very good. The only real issue for him is that he is hittable but he has a good enough chin that it doesn't matter. He will come forward, throw long kicks, box you up and then snatch up a single leg and look to get it to the ground. He is coming off the submission win over Daniel Lacerda where he was losing the fighting until he snatched the triangle.

Joshua Van

Josh Van is a solid striker with aggression and a bit of power. His takedown and scramble skills are decent and as he is only 22 years old, everything is improving from fight to fight. He is the new generation of fighter so even though he is primarily a striker, he is good everywhere and can grapple as well. He does a nice job looking for things in scrambles and making his opponents work. He is coming off the KO loss to Charles Johnson where he was a step behind before ultimately being finished late.
