Davey Grant wasn't good when he was 28, let alone 38. He is a pretty durable guy in general, but I think Ramon's power and hand speed are going to be a big issues here. I think Davey's blind forward pressure just walk him into bigger and bigger shots. Ramon is the pick and even though there is a big experience difference here, I think it Ramon will look good.
Davey Grant
Davey Grant is a busy striker who utilizes kicks for range and punches for damage with some real power. A lot of people forget that he started his UFC career as a grappler and as a whole, Davey Grant is an experienced grappler who has gotten comfortable with his hands and has developed real power over time. With 12 fights under the UFC banner he has built himself some solid fight IQ. Even when he gets dropped, he stays composed and is able to work through it. He is coming off the loss to Daniel Marcos where it is clear he wasn't the better fighter, but he had plenty of forward pressure.
Ramon Taveras
Ramon Taveras is a powerful striker who keeps his hands low to protect from takedowns and then likes to counter strike his way in. He has incredible power and very fast hands. He stands southpaw and absolutely launches his power left with incredible speed. He does a great job mixing shots to the body and head while also pumping a jab. His takedown defense is ok and he has a decent get up game if he is taken down. He is coming off a close win in his UFC debut where he didn't throw in combinations, but did showcase power.
