These odds are insane. I think there's a couple of assumptions people are making here and dots they are connecting that don't necessarily need to be connected. for example, Elkins is old shit, thats fair, Elkins is going to wrestle, thats fair, Julian has a great guillotine, that's also fair, but lets not connect those dots. Darren is insanely durable and defensively sound. Julian gets taken down a ton and is finishable. If Darren had dog in him 5 months ago in his last fight, he will here too. Darren is the pick but because I am a scaredy cat, I will likely wait for props instead of betting straight up.
Darren Elkins
Darren Elkins is incredibly tough and literally wears it as a badge of honor in the form of scars. He is always live for a finish and is the definiton of a grinder. He comes forward with heavy strikes to close the distance, cut off the cage and work his grappling. He is pretty good wrestler with incredible top pressure. He is coming off the fight of the night win over Daniel Pineda where he had 3 takedowns
Julian Erosa
Julian Erosa is a long guy for the weight class and he uses his length really well both on his feet and on the ground. He is very well rounded with high output striking at more than 6 significant strikes per minute and solid wrestling at almost 2 takedowns per fight. He is dangerous everywhere and an absolute dog. He is coming off his second Guillotine win in a row this time over Christian Rodriguez.
