Figgy has looked very good at 135, but a lot of that has to do with the wrestling and improved cardio. I don't think that will matter here. I don't think he will have the takedowns needed or the success striking. This should be a pretty straight forward Cory win. I wouldn't be surprised if Cory worked in his own takedowns. Cory is sitting at a healthy -450 right now and thats probably right.
Cory Sandhagen
Cory Sandhagen is a very active striker landing a little more than 5 significant strikes per minute with deceiving power and solid technique. He's fluid, he's fast and is very good with combinations and variety. He will throw punches, kicks, elbows, knees and mix up where they land. He's athletic, tough and ties it all out with solid BJJ. Cory is a hard night out for anyone including Umar Nurmagomedov where he was taken down 5 times but defended 8.
Deiveson Figueiredo
Deiveison Figueredo is the former flyweight champion of the world who moved up to Bantamweight later in his career. Since moving up to Bantamweight we have seen cardio improvements and a much higher focus on wrestling. He has 9 takedowns in his last 4 fights which is more than his previous 7 fights combined. He is a well rounded guy who is dangerous everywhere. He has power in his hands, well timed takedowns, a BJJ blackbelt and some dog in him. He is coming off the decision loss to Petr Yan where he had a couple takedowns but couldn't hang in the striking.
