Core 4 Daily Fantasy Breakdown UFC Vegas 72 Pavlovich VS Blaydes
Jeremiah Wells

We have an incredible DraftKings slate to look through! First, before we get into the plays, let's ensure we have the event details locked in so we don't miss out on any of the action. This event occurs Saturday, April 22nd, 2023, at The Apex in Las Vegas, Nevada. The prelims will kick things off at 4 pm Eastern and the main card at 7 pm Eastern. Here are the core plays that I plan to use with my DraftKings lineups;

Mohammed Usman vs. Junior Tafa

We have a heavyweight fight in the mix now and it is an interesting one. Usman is coming off a left hook knockout win while we have Tafa making his UFC debut. This is the battle between the brothers of two other fighters in the UFC. Tafa has a ton of experience outside of major promotion fighting. Tafa is no pushover and will have to work around the power of Usman. This will be a striking fight and I like Tafa with his chin. I am loving Tafa to use his tools here to win this fight and the DraftKings price tag is cheap at $8,200.

Ricky Glenn vs. Christos Giagos

This is a great fight that I am loving overall. Giagos is coming off two big named losses. Giagos is good on the ground and is decent on the feet. Giagos I believe is ready for a win and needs it badly. Glenn has been all the over place timing-wise in the UFC but has good wins. Glenn has cardio for days and can push the pace in the cage. This is a battle of styles by far. Giagos is going to have to have the fight of his life which I am banking on him at the DraftKings price tag of $7,200.

Jeremiah Wells vs. Matt Semelsberger

Wells has looked fantastic after earning 3 wins in a row in the UFC. Wells has been putting in that work. Semelsberger is coming off a massive win last fight but he has been all over the place. This is going to be a battle of the striking output which Wells can certainly land the knockout punch. I just like Wells to handle business and in the middle of the pack of pricing stands out to me. I trust Wells more so at the DraftKings price tag of $8,400 with the massive power he brings.

Sergei Pavlovich vs. Curtis Blaydes

The main event! Heavyweight time! This is a battle of clashes by far. Pavlovich will struggle to get a takedown in this fight while the striking has been amazing. Pavlovich has hands for days and pinpoint striking. The gas tank is worrisome for Pavlovich to add to the mix. Blaydes will have to shoot for the takedowns and not stay on the feet where he could get tagged. I am taking a longshot here on Pavlovich to land a huge knockout punch. I am taking a stand on the DraftKings price tag of $7,400!
