With the break behind us, this week we head into UFC Orlando and we have a great DraftKings slate to navigate. First things first, before we get into the plays, lets make sure we have the details of the event locked in so we don't miss out on any of the action. This event is taking place Saturday 3rd, 2022 at the Amway Center in Orlando Florida. The prelims will kick things off at 7pm eastern followed by the main card at 10pm eastern. Here are the core plays that I plan to use with my DraftKings lineups;
Natan Levy VS Genaro Valdéz
A light heavyweight matchup! Valdez is coming off a loss but didn't look terrible in the loss. Levy has decent striking and leg kicks that he brings to the table. Levy is an all-around quality fighter including upside with grappling. I am like Levy, who can exploit the defense of Valdez and take advantage of Valdez. The price tag may be high for Levy but the volume will be there for him to pay off the $8,900 DraftKings price tag.
Eryk Anders VS Kyle Daukaus
Both of these fighters are needing a win and this fight will be a battle! Anders is coming off two losses but he has a ton of grit in the cage. Anders has power and will be aggressive in the cage. Daukaus is coming off a huge loss and Anders will try to exploit Daukaus on the feet. Daukaus is the better fighter though overall, especially in wrestling Anders is my pick as the dog. The price tag is too cheap for Anders at $7,100 for DraftKings. The volume will be high for Anders to see volume.
Tai Tuivasa VS Sergei Pavlovich
Heavyweight fight! Sergei is on a winning streak and earned the win last fight over Derrick Lewis. Sergei has massive power and the volume is technically strong. Sergei can pinpoint strikes left and right. Tai is no pushover and has great defense on the feet. This fight will come down to who can land the bigger punch. I am liking Sergei to extend his win streak one more fight at a time. Sergei is coming in at the DraftKings price tag of $9,000 and I am banking on the knockout punch to exceed his price tag.
Stephen Thompson VS Kevin Holland
The Main Event! This is going to be great! Both of these fighters are needing wins. Thompson has looked awful overall with his takedown defense. Holland is going to have to exploit Thompson's takedown defense. Holland is going to want this win badly. Striking-wise, Thompson I believe has the better striking. This is a battle of style overall. I think Thompson can pull this fight off. The price tag of $7,700 is too cheap for the quality of fight he can bring to the table on DraftKings.
