The question here isn't who wins this fight, the question is what the hell are we doing here? What the hell are we doing where Cong Wang is a -400 favorite after getting head kicked and choked to sleep? I actually do think Cong wins here, but these odds are atrocious. Bruna is the more well rounded fighter and is at a great camp. i don't however thing her takedowns are quite good enough to be the difference here and she is a bit hittable. But even though I am picking her, there is a 0 percent change I am betting her. This is a fight where we just sit and watch with no money so we can decide what to do the next time these two women are fighting.
Cong Wang
Cong Wang is a professional kickboxer who made the leap to MMA. It doesn't take a whole lot of research to find tape of her fighting and beating Valentina Shevchenko in kickboxing. She fights exactly how you would expect a decorated kickboxer to fight. She has incredible striking with power and speed and can defend takedowns. You'll see she is coming off a submission loss and you might assume that she was taken down and submitted, but thats not what happened, she was a -1200 favorite who was head kicked into oblivion and then submitted.
Buna Brasil
Bruna Brasil is a solid striker with incredible power. She is very creative on her feet and throws everything from superman punches to spinning back kicks. She marches forward throwing her whole arsenal looking for a finish. She has takedowns as well but they aren't great, they are very BJJ-esque meaning she shoots by bending at the waist and then finishes with a trip instead of running through it. Her BJJ is solid, but her striking is where she shines. The problem though is that her striking defense isn't great and she can be low volume but since moving to Fighting Nerds she seems to have put things together and is coming off a good win over Molly McCann
