First of all, I cannot believe that Cody Garbrandt is only 33. It feels like he has been past his prime for 5 years. Without seeing his age I would've assumed 39. Second of all, i was tricked into thinking his high level wrestling worked both offensively and defensively. The lie detector test determined, that was a lie. Therefore I am keeping this simple. Miles Johns is the pick because if he wants to wrestle he can and if he wants to land big power, he can. Cody will always have the talent in there to be great, but the chin is long gone and I believe so is the fire that keeps some of these guys moving. Miles Johns is the pick and I have a half unit on him at -135
Cody Garbrandt
Cody Garbrant is also former champion who has had some highs and lows these last 5 years. He is a phenomenal boxer with fantastic footwork and real power. When he is on, he is unbelievable. He beat Dominic Cruz to win the belt with great footwork, clean striking and and the threat of wrestling. But when he's off, he is throwing punches wild with his chin in the air begging to get knocked out. He is coming off the grappling and submission loss to Figgy at UFC 300
Miles Johns
Miles Johns is a good strong wrestler with heavy hands and explosive speed. He seems to have a love/hate relationship with his wrestling because at one point it was the core of everything he did butt then he found power in his hands and abondoned it to sit on overhand rights, but he seems to be heading back in the right direction. He is coming off his 4th win in a row, this time a strikng win over Douglas Silva de Andrade.
