Chris Curtis vs. Max Griffin

CURTIS VS GRIFFIN

This fight is listed at welterweight. I am not sure if that's just wrong or if this really is at 170. Chris spent his pre-UFC career at welterweight but had so much success at 185 on short notice, that he stayed there. I am going pick Chris here as I think he is the better striker and his takedown defense is incredible. But I don't love a 37 year old dropping an entire weight class after being knocked out. So Chris is the pick based entirely off of skill, but if this is 170 I will be gunshy with bets.

Chris Curtis

Chris Curtis is a clean counter striker who at one pint had the highest takedown defense in the middleweight division. He has solid power in his hands and it comes from clean short punches which catch people off guard. He works in nice leg kicks and will touch up the body as well. He takes his time with his shots but is always moving his body to stay out of the way or to set something up. He is coming off the last second finish loss to Roman Kopylov at UFC Vegas 101

Max Griffin

Max Griffin is a powerful striker with some incredible knockouts and a total of 8 knockdowns in th UFC. He famously almost knocked Ramiz Brahimaj ear clean off his head. While he is primarily a striker, he is also a solid grappler as well who averages almost 2 takedowns per fight. He is coming off the submission loss to Michael Chiesa.
