This should be a fun fight between two guys who take chances and prefer to strike. But if I'm Charles' coach, i tell him to make this as boring as possible. He will not win a striking match here. He needs to lean on Jean against the cage, he needs to take away space and work in a takedown. But can he? Charles has 1 successful takedown in 13 UFC fights with a 10% success rate. I have to assume this will be a striking match and if thats the case, Jean Silva is the pick because he's the much better and far more dangerous striker.
Charles Jourdain
Charles Jourdain is a fun come forward striker who also has a great chin. He's incredibly fast, has great timing and is willing to take chances with spinning and flying attacks. He is not the most technical guy in the world, but he is one of the most exciting. He is an absolute dog who will keep fights ugly and in your face. He is coming off the close loss to Sean Woodson where he went 0-4 in takedowns and had a hard time with the reach.
Jean Silva
Jean Silva is a powerful striker who is loose and creative. The creativity is fun to watch but does get him into weird positions at times. He is interesting to watch because he will go from a tight guard to loose hands down but he does alternate between the two often enough to get people guessing. He lowers his level to land body shots and then comes up top with power. His takedown defense is solid and his striking is killer. He is coming off the KO win over Westin Wilson in his UFC debut.
