Funny story about Caio Machado. Jacob and I went to UFC 303 and Jacob bought us the VIP experience. The VIP includes a lounge where you can hangout, get some drinks, get some food and chill with some fighters. Caio Borralho was in the lounge. He couldn't have been cooler. While talking to him he mentioned he has seen the show and is familiar with We Want Picks. I said “why don't you get on a call in show” he said of course shoot me a message. So that night in the hotel room i sent Caio a message essentially saying “great to see you tonight, lets get you on the show”. It wasn't until I sent a screenshot of the conversation to Josh the Web the Guy where he said “Who's Caio Borralo that I realized i messaged the wrong person. Regarding who wins this fight though, should be Caio. He is the cleaner, more buttoned up fighter with more ways to win. Brendson can come in wild and connect, but outside of that, Caio is the better fighter.
Caio Machado
Caio Machado is a pretty well rounded guy. He is the new generation of heavyweight that sits around the 250lb range and stays active instead of being a big slow one punch guy. He is not the cleanest striker in the division but he does have volume and footwork. He will backup and throw counters as well as push forward with jabs. He has nice clinchwork ok takedowns and underrated BJJ. He is is coming off the decision loss to Don'Tale Maye where he had decent speed and movement.
Brendson Ribeiro
Brendson Ribeiro is an offensive striker with solid grappling. I say offensive striking because he likes to move forward and bomb away but is very hittable. His takedowns are medioce but if a fight does end up on the ground he is very aggresive in his hunt for submissions. He is dangerous both on top and off his back. While Ribeiro has a pretty well rounded offense and can win a fight anywhere, he does have a quit button and can be finished. He is coming off the loss to Magomed Gadzhlysulov where he started panic wrestling and diving at legs.
