If you bet on Bolaji as a 2-1 favorite against Marquel, you better be betting him all the way to 20-1 against Aswell. The reality here is that Aswell is not the better fighter, but he is insanely busy and very tough. This should be Oki running through Aswell, but if Oki can't handle the pressure, he is going to have a long night. I almost bet on Oki at these -212 odds, but decided to just leave it alone for now because pressure is a crazy thing that can throw people off.
Bolaji oki
Bolaki Oki is a busy striker with a good jab and lots of power. He likes to pump the jab to set things up and then explode into combinations when he finds his openings. He has good takedown defense with a fast sprawl and solid takedowns when he wants to use them. He does tend to slow down as fights go on but remains dangerous to the bell. His biggest issue however is defense and someone with a busy jab could give him trouble. He is coming off the unfortunate loss to Chris Duncan where he was winning with forward pressure and striking before getting caught in a guillotine.
Michael Aswell
Michael Aswell is stepping up on just a few days notice and trying to redeem himself in the Octagon. While he hasn't officially fought in the UFC, he did lose a close Contender Series fight to Bogdan Grad last year. While he is stepping up on short notice, it doesn't mean he won't be prepared. Aswell was in training camp to fight for the Fury FC title in mid June. Style wise he is a forward pressure striker who always has a jab out there. He is tough as nails and literally doesn't stop moving forward. Hi striking defense isn't what you would want it to be, but his offense is so intense, that it doesn't matter. He can grapple as well but its never his plan A. He's a tough guy who stays busy and will make his opponents work.
