This is a tough fight to pick. Tabatha is in incredible shape, will not slow down in a fight and will attempt as many takedowns as she needs to. Thats how she won her last fight. She certainly wasn't the better striker, she wasn't even the better wrestler, she went 1 for 10. But the judges loved the pressure and give her a close one. That exact same thing could happen here. Judges see the pressure and give her the decision. But if I am picking, i have to go with the streaking veteran with has the length, cardio, and experience to steal her own decision here. Angela is old, but women and heavyweights have longer careers than most. Angela is the pick and lets hope we don't get burned on the 2.5 again.
Angela Hill
Angela Hill is a high IQ veteran fighter. She is mostly a striker with speed, volume and lots of versatility, but not much power. She is a talented fighter who has become the gate keeper and measuring stick of the weight class. She is good everywhere but not a threat. Her path to victory in this and every other fight is to stick and move, avoid power, avoid takedowns and exploit rookie mistakes. She is coming off the submission win over Luana Pinheiro which absolutely screwed the Safety Parlay
Tabatha Ricci
Tabatha Ricci is a very good grappler who takes her time and settles into positions before looking for a submission. She's very heavy on top with good pressure and control. She will ground and pound while on top which creates scrambles and opens her opponents up for the submission. Her striking is improving but it isn't great. She is coming off the controversial win over Tecia Penington where she went 1-10 in takedown attempts and was out struck 80-54
