Andre is very good and I understand the love for him here, but I have my reservations. First, he's a straight up cheater who will do anything to win, including grabbling the fence, grabbing the gloves and pushing the limits of the rules. Second, he is supposed to be a great striker, but he was getting touched up by Felipe dos Santos in his last fight and had to resort to takedowns. Andre should win here, but if Daniel marches forward and can maintain a real pace without fading, he could steal a decision. Andre will be the pick but not touching these odds.
Andre Lima
Andre Lima Is a solid striker who invests in the body early. He has solid technique and uses it well. He throws combinations, isn't lazy with anything and will mix up strikes. He is essentially a pure striker though with solid takedown and submission defense. If he does end up on the ground he has solid scrambles and a good get up game. He is coming off the decision win over Felipe dos Santos where he walked forward, had nice defense slips and movements, but ultimately didn't love the forward pressure and went to his wrestling.
Daniel Barez
Daniel Barez is a fireball who will set a pace from bell to bell. He has fast powerful boxing, slick BJJ and takedowns whe he needs them. He trusts his BJJ and he has no problem chasing submissions to find the finish, he can lose position at times because of this, but almost everything he chases is close and scores well with the judges. His takedown defense isn't the best but he works on bottom and creates openings. He is coming off the decision win over Victor Altimirano where he was landing a nice 1-2 but did fade as the fight went on.
