I don't know if it's just me or if its the card, but I don't love any of the favorites and certainly not at their current odds. Adrian will definitely be the more technical striker, but Vinicius is durable, has forward pressure and is the more well rounded fighter. I trust Adrian's takedown defense and because he is the sharper striker I will lean him here, but damn dude, 3-1 favorite that was finished in back to back fights, i'll avoid the bets.

ADRIAN YANEZ

Adrian Yanez is a fun technical striker with high striking IQ, fast hands, real power and a solid chin. He can be a slow starter and if you dig into his fight stats he was outsruck in the first round of 4 of his last 5 fights. He has 8 fights in the UFC with 5 fight of the night bonuses and 5 stoppage wins. He has great takedown defense at 100% and zero offensive takedowns so far in the UFC. He is coming off back to back finish losses. Most recently the leg kick KO to Jonathan Martinez.

VINICIUS SALVADOR

Vinicius Salvador is a long striker with incredible volume, solid accuracy and what he thinks, is Roy Jones Jr. defense. He has a negative striking differential but he will keep his hands low and bob and weave his way out of exchanges. He is durable and has some very real power in both his hands and feet. His takedown defense is not great, but he uses his length on bottom to throw things up, scramble and work to his feet. He too is coming off back to back losses most recently CJ Vergara.
