I think its safe to say Abus is not the guy people thought he was. He has fought 2 ranked middleweights and lost convincingly to both of them. Thankfully for him, Warlley has flashes of danger, but is not as skilled of a striker as Sean Strickland or as good of a grappler as Caio Borralho. Abus should win this fight by avoiding looping power and being the better striker. As much as it pains me to say this, I think Abus is actually solid value at -240 right now.
ABUS MAGOMEDOV
Abus Magomedov is a versatile striker with wrestling as a backup plan. He has very sneaky power because it never looks like he's throwing big shots but he can put people down. He is a long striker who does a great job using his length to counter and keep people on the end of his strikes. He will throw everything from tight hooks to head kicks and even though he can be hittable, he recognizes if he is on the wrong end of an exchange and quickly shoots double legs to get it to the ground. He is currently on the struggle bus with back to back losses and only 1 win in the UFC.
WARLLEY ALVES
Warlley Alves is a BJJ blackbelt who, throws wild to setup his takedowns and then his BJJ. His takedowns aren't the best but his BJJ is aggressive. He has jumped guillotine more than once and has had mixed success. Even though he isn't technical on his feet, he is dangerous and is always hunting for a KO. He absolutely bombs away looking for a finish. He is coming off a KO loss is Ikram Aliskerov where he had forward pressure, but took some huge shots.
