Listen, Molly McCann is not very good. But she fights for your money and works hard. You can count on Molly to slug it out, you can count on Molly to work in a takedown or two and I think both of those things will be enough here. I think Molly can stand toe to toe with Alexia and she can absolutely squeak in some takedowns. The line movement here was pretty crazy, Molly opened at more than 4-1 and is now is an underdog. I bet Molly and I am hoping people are just looking at Alexia's record and making snap decisions, because I just don't see her winning.
Molly McCann
Molly McCann is a fun and aggressive striker who likes to fight dirty in the pocket. She doesn't have much power but she does have a handful of spinning back elbow knockouts. While she prefers to bang it out, she does have some decent takedowns and a BJJ brown belt. She is mostly a decision fighter, but technically sound and plenty of cardio to push the pace but she just can't seem to find any meaningful success. She is coming off the loss to Brunna Brasil where the takedowns were too much.
Alexia Thainara
Alexia Thainara is a forward pressure striker who literally marches forward with her chin the sky. You will almost never see her take a step back. She does alternate between Robocop forward pressure and light on her toes movements, but ultimately she is throwing big and trying to get you out of there. if she cannot get you out, she moves into trips and drags. If she ends up on top she will work but doesn't seem very comfortable. She is tough, busy and has a good record
