Before you drop -600 on Mauricio Ruffy because he's part of a new cool gym, I implore you to watch his last fight where he dropped a round to James freaking Llontop. I get it, Fighting Nerds is the cool new thing and the core 4 are winning, but Mauricio might be the one to blow it all up. Don't get me wrong, he should win here, he's young, fast, clean, powerful, but he doesn't love pressure and King Green knows pressure. If bobby wasn't a ripe 38 years old on a steep decline, I'd consider some action on that side. Ruffy is the pick and maybe we get lucky with a 1.5 round line that we can hit the over.
King Green
Bobby Green is a busy striker with a showboat, hands at his waist style. He has great volume, incredible defense and slick wrestling as a backup plan. He has 11 knockouts under his belt which are typically volume and TKO but we have seen flashes of 1 punch KO power. He is off the bad submission loss to Paddy Pimblett where he shot a takedown and was both choked out and armbarred
Mauricio Ruffy
Mauricio Ruffy is a nasty striker with big fight ending power. He has 10 wins with 10 stoppages. He will throw heavy 1-2s and look for power. He isn't just a boxer though, he will launch kicks right up the middle and he will defend takedowns really well. We have seen him carry power to the 3rd round which was nice to see because we got a glimpse of his cardio and while it wasn't spectacular we know we won't death gas.
