This is obviously a new matchup for Aliev. Solecki is a much better grappler than his previous opponent, but a worse striker. This fight goes the same way I thought the last one would. Some striking exchanges and then eventually wrestling to lock it in. I like Solecki a lot and he has very good grappling, but its only good offensively, meaning when he is getting the takedowns and when he is on top, he can have success. But off his back he isn't nearly as dangerous. Nurullo should win here and as soon as he's good to parlay, I will have action on him once again.
Nurullo Aliev
Nurullo Aliev is a dominant wrestler who has been competing his entire life. People love to compare him to Khabib and thats not a crazy comparison to make. Sure, he hasn't accomplished anything in this sport, but as far as style and execution are concerned, he has the same forward wrestling pressure style. He has decent striking as well where he is light on his feet and pumps a jab to work in for takedowns. His takedowns are powerful and relentless but aren't the fastest. He is coming off the win over Rafael Alves where a point was deducted for an alleged bite.
Joe Solecki
Joe Solecki is a very good grappler as well who leans heavily on his wrestling and takedowns. He is very slick on the ground and really makes things happen with pressure and transitions. He also has solid hands with clean boxing that isn't just there to setup takedowns. He will however lose to the more technically sound strikers like he did against Jared Gordon. He is coming off the insanely boring loss to Grant Dawson who held him down for 14 minutes of a 15 minute fight.
