These are a couple of old dudes who are most certainly fighting for their jobs and matchups like that can get tricky. You might get a dog fight with two guys doing everything to stay relevant or a one sided beating because one of these elder statesman has one foot out the door. So I have to break this down assuming both will fight to the best of their abilities, and if I apply that logic here, then I like Ponzinibbio, especially as an underdog. He has a ton of dog in him and is more well rounded. A quick glance at the record scares you because he is 1-4 in his last 5, but 3 of those 4 losses are razor thin split decisions. Ponzinibbio is the pick, but putting bets aside for now.
Santiago Ponzinibbio
Santiago Ponzinibbio is a very good striker who likes to stay out of the pocket. His striking is clean and he does a great job managing range really well. He doesn't have a ton of raw power but he has great volume and works TKO's because of that volume and pressure. He is coming off the close loss to fellow old man Muslim Salikhov where he had 2 takedowns and defended 5.
Carlston Harris
Carlston Harris is a well rounded guy with pretty wild striking but he does have some power in there. He is a very slick opportunistic grappler as well. Meaning he will snatch up a Darce or even standing head and arm chokes when he sees an opening. His wrestling is solid as well, he doesn't have traditional takedowns, but he has nice body locks and trips and as soon as you hit the mat, he's working towards something. He is coming off the early KO loss to Khaos WIlliams
